Whats been happening....

It has been awhile since my last post...

Here is a collage of some of the things we have been up to...

I have been working on something huge in this time....Me!

Ha...I have been on one very amazing personal journey that has ultimately led me to encounter some amazing women, some amazing epiphany's and a whole new level of wholeness and happiness..

Throughout this journey I have discovered so much about me, my life, what i want, and what my purpose is....

I have probably been searching for some answers about my life purpose for quite some time, just purely from a work point of view but in figuring this out, I have made some other quite astonishing discoveries..

So this explains my lack of posts and for that i apologise....But i can promise that when I am here from now on - I know i can inspire you on so many more levels than i currently have been :)

So.... some inspiration from home as follows:

I have had a number of projects on the go..

Our blackboard organiser that sits in the laundry..Oh so good for a mumma with a full head of info....

I painted the blackboards onto MDF just as I did the girls blackboard for their playroom..

Mr Right hung this one in the kitchen and I couldn't find the right words for it until I stumbled across these ones below that were featured in Home Beautiful - such a lovely mantra...

I posted about this guy... He needed a makeover..

This is the makeover complete... not the best pics but you get the idea.
This is my custom shade of greige I posted about..Charlotte thought it was more a yukky green but it has grown on her..

We finally tiled the kitchen splash back - basic white subway, I contemplated pressed metal before Sophie and Dale from The Block made it famous but decided I may get sick of it...

This pic was taken mid tiling job... When the kitchen is not covered in paper mache glue and clean - I will post a final picture..

I picked up some awesome jars from the local tip... So I have been fluffing with them..

I made a soy wax candle into a pretty tea cup that has been collecting dust for years...

Some inspiration from nature as follows:

I had a super awesome encounter with a crazy mushroom and caught it on camera..

I pictured this full moon outside the kitchen window this morning

I have been blessed with these guys showing up all over the place..

and some inspiration - what happens around you when you wake up, work stuff out and become enlightened....

gratitude and happiness...
uninhibited dance and smiles

 self love and appreciation

Spontaneous dance

an outpouring of love

super smiling

peace...

and these are just the spontaneous drawings and actions of the girls that i find gracing my house these days.. not that we weren't happy before..but this is just different.

I wish I woke sooner, move mountains is what i am about to embark on..

Those who know me, know that I have worked with women, children & families for the past decade at the pointy end of trauma and abuse. I have always felt that something was not quite right with my work...it didn't fulfill me in the way that I had hoped, I often wondered if I was just not suited to the work, if I had chosen the "wrong" career path...

Well, as it turns out, I hadn't, but my experiences so far have been equipping me with the skills, experience and background that I need to step into my purpose..
My purpose is to lead and support women and children to discover their true gifts, become empowered and live in true happiness and harmony.

I have been busily writing workshops for women and kiddos on how to reach your highest potential, how to grow super happy kids that are well prepared for what life will deliver them & us...
The workshops are based on a lovely little mix of eastern + western psychology/theory - mindfulness, meditation, positive psychology and some traditional psychotherapy tools all rolled up in some super fun and nurturing workshops...

I could blog on forever about this... But I wont - you will hear more but for now I am near launching this baby

So to those amazing women that have come into my life - I salute you goddesses and thank you for your words of wisdom...

Until soon....

Sydney trip

We decided to visit some friends in Newcastle for the long weekend..
and they suggested we head to Sydney to check out Viv.d - light and music show
It was the kids and my first time in Sydney and we were mesmerized by her beauty..

Miss Sydney put on a spectacular sunny day as we strolled, enjoyed a ferry ride and waited until dark for the lights to begin..
The lights of the city were gorgeous in their own right... taken from the deck of the Sea Shepherd.. We enjoyed a tour and learnt more about their mission to save the whales..
Our littlest is now planning when she will join the crew of the Shepherd to join them when they return to Antarctica to save the whales being illegally hunted..
The photos of the lights just don't go near doing them any justice...They were just amazing...I'm sure we walked around for hours with our jaws dropped and constantly saying...WOW..

I took 350 pics...But thought I'd spare you just share a few..
We spent the whole day and half the night at Circular Quay and the Rocks
and honestly could have stayed for longer...

Highly recommend it for big and small peeps
This year it runs from end of May to mid June - we will be definitely looking up the dates for next year..

Hope you all had a safe and warm long weekend and did something that lit you up!

winter photos...

As I was sifting through some old pictures - I came across these ones that I had taken last winter whilst we rented, waiting for the house to be built

We were out in the back paddock, all of us, all rugged up, chopping and collecting firewood...

As you can see I was being super dooper helpful... pulling my weight and all..
just taking in the sights of winter

dewy grass...natures treasures...

I really wanted hubbie to ask if we could bring this stunning old shed with us and then well, just somehow anyhow make it happen...
He flatly reported it was impossible = heartbroken..

These original floorboards made my heart flip flop....

Don't even get me started on that door...

I miss that old shed...
Just saying..

"Muuuuum what can i draw?"

Because I hear "mummmmmm what can i draw?" several times a day from my picture drawing obsessed cherubs, when I came across the below picture on pinterest I knew we needed to make some of these here drawing dices as a matter of urgency.

Source: howsweeteritis.blogspot.com via Melissa on Pinterest

Given the recent build it was not hard to find some pieces of timber laying around outside. Daddy chopped them into squares and we sanded the corners down so no splinters in little fingers..

Then we got busy with the paint and whilst the drawing dices were drying,  got even more creative with the paint...

Once dry, the girls chose animals and feelings to write on each side of the dice..

never short of ideas for drawings now!

big girl room

some snippets of my big girls, new big girl room...

mmm unironed pillow case and all.. please forgive me, nope, not even going to pretend that i would normally iron pillow cases...don't.

She specifically wanted no other color than white (mamma's girl) in her room but we decided that we would incorporate her love of the good old doily into the theme for a little contrast

Her collection of pretties on her bed side table..
the rock she made and wrote on without guidance, her own words, her own ideas..
and the fake flowers that she made me buy for her years ago..
I think she was 6 years of age...and begged me to buy her white fake flowers...

The lamp she already had, we just hot glued a doily to it and made a sweet little doily flower and pinned it to the lamp..
The pearls - her addition after mumma had finished, only just noticed they were there when writing this post..
Glass jars from the op shop with doily's hot glued on..

mumma's rushed attempt at a little pillow for her bed... Don't look too closely.. I can sew but I am not careful, not patient and like a speed demon on that machine, eager to cross the finish line... I am learning to slow it down...

 my beautiful "big girl"

finding her groove, knowing what she wants..

I have also painted her buffet in her room and when styled I'll post it...

It was a little disastrous actually... I decided to mix my own hue for the cabinet...
I had to paint it twice, the first color was hideous.
She was not overly impressed with the second color either,  I coined the color - "The White Verandah greige blend"  she coined it "yukky greeny grey color"...
I wooed her with a gorgeous floral curtain to break it up.. She is sold for now.
Now I have you intrigued.. promise I wont take too long to post it..
