Autumn is upon us

Autumn is here - she is one of my favourite seasons...The wind starts to get some chill, the trees put on a glorious show of color before they drop their leaves and brace themselves for the real cold. Scarfs and boots start to make a comeback from the wardrobe...What is not to love.....

We are on the lookout for the spectacular show of mother nature this Autumn, I plan to visit some gorgeous spots to crunch some leaves underfoot... There is an Open garden on the 14th and 15th April 2012 at Como Gardens at The Basin for those of you that live in Victoria - that looks to be spectacular... Where will you go to admire the wonder of Autumn... This year we are not lucky enough to have any Autumn trees that will delight us, but by next year I hope to have that well and truly sorted out.... So we can admire miss mother natures handy work from the house...

I apologise for the lack of posts of late...I have returned to the real world of my grown up job now that the house is almost complete...... Painting complete now... Just waiting on the rain to hold off for a few days so the roof of the verandah can be fitted... Photos to come..

So settling in to being a part time working mama again and all that entails, will surely get in some sort of rhythm with it soon..

Thanks for visiting... Melissa xx

Spring at last

The warmth of the spring sun blessed us today on the very first day of spring.

I love winter so much but when the blossom, baby lambs and sunshine returns - it feeds the soul.

Spring is a symbol of new beginnings, new life, natures way of reinvigorating us with the urges to sort, clean and appreciate the sunshine. It awakens us out of our winter hibernation and even makes you start thinking about summer and the need to get off the couch and exercise again.....( well me anyway and I hope I'm not the only one that lives like a bear in winter!)

So until next year - we farewell the open fire, Bowls of steaming soup, gumbies, woolies, uggies , blankies and all the other "ies" that winter brings.

I am hoping that spring will bring us the new beginning of moving into our new home
