After being down at the block on the weekend walking out the perimeters of the house with Mr Libra in the rain - i promptly decided my next purchase needs to be a pair of the pictured gumboots - pronto....

boxes and more boxes
We hired a skip on the weekend and actually started the arduous task of culling and packing our belongings. The majority of the things that filled the skip were out of the garage and most of it had been stifled up in those boxes for a number of years - what a trip down memory lane. I came across so many treasures it was hard to keep my mind on the task at hand. I unearthed my entire tooth collection that my mother had saved for me, a half knitted scarf that i probably started when i was eight - complete with both knitting needles still in situ!, my "skinny" pre children clothes including the white one shouldered top with red stars that i met my husband in - that now pretty much fits my seven year old daughter, subject books from Grade 6, through high school then all the way through both degrees!!! and several diaries from primary and high school that i have put aside to enjoy over a glass of red...
It felt so good to start the pack, i basically havnt stopped this week. The second lounge now resembles a junk room.
We now have soil tests, septic quotes, and contour maps completed and in our hot little hands. So time to start the septic permit being taken care of by the Septic professionals....
We scheduled a further appointment with the builder to choose roofing, exterior, windows and their placement. Mmmm, one thinks they know exactly what they want when they have been waiting for this moment for some time however crunch time brings second guesses.... I am currently pouring over my magazine collection - the exterior is a no brainer, white weatherboard, the rest will fall into place if i stay focused...
Took mum and her hubbie down on the weekend to "show off" the rental farm house, had ANOTHER meal in the pub and then met our close friends for more drinks at the pub....
Starting to organise all the mail redirection, mail post box, and disconnection and connection of services - what a nightmare!!
Thats all for now, Melissa
